Welcome to Google | Odds & Ends
September 22, 2006Finally, here is the first official first post.
We signed up this account name on the first day that WordPress.com launched. To our surprise, google.wordpress.com was available, the account was created and we started playing around with the new WordPress service – curious to see how it worked. We were already using the wordpress installation for a few projects and loved the flexibility it gaves us – seing that wordpress.com didn’t give us this flexibility just yet, we quickly forgot about it.
A few months later, we received an email from a fellow Google fan interested in using the account, similary, a post on Sagaro highlighted the issue of many brand names being grabbed on WordPress.com and not being used. Obviously, google.wordpress.com was the first one mentioned. And still, our account still remained dormant.
Until yesterday…
Another fellow Google enthusiast posted on one of the default pages just to see if anyone was checking this blog. Of course, this triggered an email which acted as a reminder that we had registered the account a while back.
So here it is, our attempt at bringing you some Odds & Ends news about Google. Thanks to Wes and the other Google Enthusiast for stimulating us to actually use this space rather than let it sleep.
